Description
Story
Terra Tides is built from polymer clay worked into wave-like relief — a surface that reads as topographic record rather than decoration. The brown clay carries ochre and umber registers that shift across the undulating planes, each ridge casting a shallow shadow that deepens the spatial reading of the work.
The composition operates at the scale of landscape compressed into wall relief: the rhythm of horizontal bands suggests sediment, tidal deposit, the slow accumulation of material over time. At 24.9″ by 37.4″, the piece holds enough surface to read from across a room while rewarding close inspection of the material texture.
